Hello Everyone,
I have just been telephoned with permission to release this
information to the forums and general public.
On Monday August 4, 2008, B.B. Cunningham was rushed to Methodist
Central Hopsital in Memphis. His wife, Barbara had started to take
him via their vehicle. (Upon B.B.'s complaints of chest pains). After
setting gout to the hospital, the pains became more painful and she
cellphoned for an ambulance to their location. B.B. did suffer a
heart attack. He has since went through two surgeries. His blood
pressure is now stabilized and actually he sounds 100% better.
(Seems one artery was completly blocked, amongst other issues).
He will be released today from the hospital and the family is
requesting no phone calls by ANYONE, however, Barbara will try and
respond to emails and you may send your cards and wishes to:
B.B. Cunningham
3401 Emerald Drive
Memphis, TN. 38115
Those of you in prayer chains, please include him.
Regards,
Marla
| I spoke with B.B.'s wife today because B.B. was out running
errands! Guess he's back in the saddle again. I sure hope he quit smoking
because that could have been one of the causes of his problems -- and there
were MANY. His surgery was touch and go, she said. Will call B.B. again
and Kenneth tomorrow. From what I understand, there will be no replacement
bass player in the near future, as B.B. is recovering rapidly, thank
goodness!
Best,
